IMW – New Delhi 2017

Award of Travel Grants to IMW, 16th International Myeloma Workshop, New Delhi, India. 1-4th March 2017

The UKMF is pleased to announce the following travel grants available for scientists, clinicians and other healthcare professionals who wish to attend the IMW meeting. All applicants must be UK based and must be members of the UKMF. If you are not currently a member, please register via our website, Membership is free.

Travel grant winners will be selected by a panel of from the UKMF Executive Committee. Please do not apply if you have been awarded a UKMF bursary in the last two years. Successful applicants will be required to complete the tasks set out below:

Number of Grants Awarded: 4

Eligible Group: Clinicians, Scientists and allied healthcare professionals submitting an abstract to IMW.

Application Criteria: Abstract submitted to IMW.

Tasks to be completed if successful: You will be asked to briefly present your abstract  at the UKMF Autumn Day on 9th November 2017 (in London).

Value of award: £1200 each

Funding has been provided by the Michael Morley Fund, whose Trustees we thank for their continued support.


All Applications must include a cover letter or e-mail with details of:

  • Name
  • Current position or job title
  • Place of work, with department, address and contact details
  • Please do not apply if you have been awarded a UKMF bursary in the last 2 years.

Those who are submitting an abstract to the IMW 2017 and wish to be considered for any of these grants should submit their abstract electronically to the Administrative Secretary of UKMF, Wendy Notowicz, (, by 5pm on Friday 9th September, 2016.

All submissions will be judged by a panel of members of the UKMF Executive Committee and applicants will be notified of the outcome of the competition by mid October, 2016

Please note that if you are unable to present your work, then the UKMF reserve the right to withdraw the bursary.
