The UK Myeloma Forum is an organisation of people working to improve the outlook for patients with myeloma and related diseases.
If you would like to apply for either a travel bursary to ASH or IMW and are not already a member of the UKMF, please click here to complete the form.
Every year the UKMF provides between 3-6 Travel Bursaries to attend key myeloma and haematology meetings. These include the International Myeloma Workshop (IMW) and the American Society of Haematology (ASH).
The Bursaries are of sufficient value to cover meeting registration, travel and basic accommodation. Applications are open to all medical and scientific staff working in the field of Myeloma in the UK. This includes doctors in training, consultants, scientists, and myeloma nurse specialists.
Applications are competitive and will take the form of an abstract submitted to the UKMF exec. A call for applications will be made via an email to the membership approximately 4 months before the meeting date and specific details of the process will be given.
All successful candidates will be expected to present either their abstract or a short overview of key points from the meeting at the next UKMF Spring Day or Autumn Day following the meeting.
