Birmingham Multiple Myeloma Trials Unit
The unit provides central laboratory investigations for MRC myeloma trials which it co-ordinates in collaboration with the trials unit in Leeds. The unit is based at the Medical School, University of Birmingham, in the Division of Immunity and Infection. This division, together with Cancer Studies, headed by Professor A. Rickinson, forms a major component of the Birmingham Centre for Immune Regulation.
This is an MRC funded centre that brings together 16 internationally recognised research groups with complementary skills in studying the different facets of immune responses and their regulation.
