UKMF Guidelines Documents
One of the main objectives of the UKMF is to improve patient care by developing management guidelines. These aim to provide evidence-based recommendations on current best practice in the diagnosis and treatment of myeloma and related disorders.

1. Guidelines on the Diagnosis and Management of Multiple Myeloma
Compiled by the Guidelines Working Group of the UK Myeloma Forum on behalf of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology (BCSH - a sub-committee of the British Society for Haematology), the Guidelines on the Diagnosis and Management of Multiple Myeloma have now been approved by the British Society for Haematology (BSH). These guidelines have also been published in the British Journal of Haematology [Guideline: Diagnosis and Management of Multiple Myeloma. BJH 2001, 115; pp522 - 540].
2. Thalidomide in Multiple Myeloma: Current Status and Future Prospects
This position paper was prepared by the UKMF on behalf of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology (BCSH). It will shortly be published in the British Journal of Haematology.
3. Guidelines on the Diagnosis and Management of Solitary Plasmacytoma of Bone (SBP) and Solitary Extramedullary Plasmacytoma (SEP)
